Where did the file go?
At my last tournament my draw partner asked why he can’t save his waypoints or logs to his Lowrance hard drive unit since he was able to with his previous Lowrance.
When you upgrade to the Lowrance hard drive and log a chart or save a data file (.usr) on the hard drive models the file is saved to the hard drive by default instead of the blank card you inserted.
When you select transfer data you get this window and notice the Drive is Hard Drive on the top.

You must select this window to get the following option and select the card.

I have 2 card choices shown because I have a map card in the second card slot.
You will notice my card is named Low. You can name your blank cards so they are easy to differentiate from map cards. This way you won’t copy data to map cards like LakeMaster which will cause problems for you. I have instructions on naming cards under Lowrance Tips-Logging Chart Solutions at www.hightechfishing.com
The same thing happens when you log a chart because the hard drive models save the log file (.slg) to the hard drive unless you choose the blank card so you must choose the card instead of the hard drive. This is similar to the instructions above.
If you record to the hard drive you can easily copy the log chart or waypoint files from the hard drive by selecting browse MMC files from the menu, select the file, and select copy. If you have a map card plus a blank card you will have to select the correct card to copy the files to. The easiest way is to only have one blank card in the unit and it will automatically copy the file to that card.
