DrDepth Waypoint Management

We finally have waypoint management that keeps your waypoint symbol and name for Lowrance waypoint file versions 2, 3 and 4. Most map software that import waypoints change the symbol (icon) and sometimes the name of your waypoint and when you export them so you can reload them to your Lowrance all the names and symbols are different. People like to view their waypoints on the computer and rename them or change the symbols because it easier than on their Lowrance units using the buttons. A keyboard is much faster and most anglers are impatient.

DrDepth is a mapping program that has updated many times so that it now makes depth maps, bottom hardness maps and side scan mosaics. New for 2011 is the ability to import/export waypoints and keep the names and symbols for Garmin, Lowrance and Humminbird. You can easily change the names and/or symbols using this program and they export to your GPS and keep the changes you made.

Example 1 HDS symbols

Example 2 LCX/LMS symbols

Example 3 Humminbird symbols

Example 4 Lowrance version 3 waypoints imported into DrDepth, symbols changed and exported to a Lowrance HDS. Notice the depth at the waypoint (001) is saved throughout the process. Waypoint 001 is the same waypoint used in the above examples.
