DrDepth
Small lake and small area maps

This map was done with many passes. I imported the data into DrDepth and it appears as trails with the color of each data point a certain depth. The grid squares are 60 foot. I usually collect data with 30-100 feet between passes depending on the structure.

Next I created the 2D map below.

One click and it is 3D.

Next I created a map image for Google Earth. It is easy in DrDepth. You then click on the Google Earth icon created when the map is created and Google Earth opens and zooms into the map automatically.

New in DrDepth is the option to see a Google Background map in DrDepth. This is a quick way to see how your map lays out on the lake or river.

Add StructureScan 3D DrDepth Doctor Sonar video to the to Sample maps and re-label it StructureScan 3D DrDepth map

Next I want a map for my Lowrance so I export the map contours as a LCM file to a SD card and insert it into my Lowrance for this map.

All you need is a Lowrance or Humminbird to collect the data and DrDepth (place link to DrDepth in online store) software to import the data and create all the maps I have demonstrated.
Google Earth is a free download and works similar to Google maps.
Lowrance collects the data with the log chart feature and Humminbird with the tracks (trails). Humminbird cannot display the map except as trails at this time.

Lowrance displays the maps as shown to the right.
