StructureScan gives a different view of the bottom so I will give you the same view with the side scan and the traditional sonar we are used to interpreting.
First I drove over some boulders with the StructureScan side scan. I noticed a transition of boulders to flat bottom so I created a waypoint on the transition.
Next I drove over the waypoint to demonstrate the traditional sonar of the transition. This is marked with the arrow “Return Path”.

The pictures with the StructureScan cover a broader area to help me to understand what I am “seeing” with the traditional sonar. This is just another tool to understand why fish live around certain “spots”.
